We were lucky enough to grace the guestlist of this highly anticipated collaboration between two of the most acclaimed music promoters in the UK today. I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Red Bull Music Academy (@RBMA), best known for the gigs and events that they hold up and down the country supporting both new and established artists.

Slightly more low profile, BoilerRoom.tv (@BoilerRoomTV) is a very unique music show/event in which DJs and performers play to an exclusive group of people in an intimate warehouse in South/East London and the whole night is streamed live at http://boilerroom.tv/live/.

The show takes place every Tuesday and it has previously been host to the likes of Jamie XX, Hudson Mohawke, James Blake and Roots Manuva so you can see why it’s been classed as London’s seminal ustream music show. Last week they joined forces with the RBMA to put on a show with a line-up that was certain to leave all attendee’s ears ringing for several days on end. If you were one of the many that couldn’t make it we’ve got some snaps to give you a taste of what you missed out on.

The podcast of the night is yet to be available online but as soon as we get wind of it, we’ll be sure to update you with a link. In the meantime here is a classic 45min set by Four Tet from last month (April 2011). If you’re already familiar with the BoilerRoom events, let us know what your fave set is, Hudson Mohawke? Shy FX? James Blake? Drop us a note in the comments section.

  1. Hey, just found your site from digg. This isn’t not something I would regularly read, but I loved your perspective on it. Thanks for creating a piece worth reading!
